Louis Toledo and Lisa Lackey
Art & Music Reception
Saturday, October 25 / 1:00 pm at Main Library
Our fall artists are Louis Toledo, abstracts, and Lisa Lackey, textile paintings.
Louis Toledo works on paper, canvas, and panel in a variety of mediums. His inspiration is derived from nature, emotion, music, and current life experiences. He believes that life is interconnected with art, and the artist's creative impulse is persistent, facing a balance between reality and personal passion.
Lisa Lackey creates with fabric and paper, transforming the beauty of everyday life into textile paintings. Her work speaks to our shared humanity as we walk this world, casting our shadows, while experiencing frustration, loneliness, community, confidence, desire, and love.
