Meet 3-time Olympian and Columbia High School alum Hazel Clark on March 12 at 4 pm as she reads her new children’s book, Hazel Takes the First Step. A University of Florida Hall of Famer and recent TEDx speaker, Hazel will share her inspiring story of perseverance, followed by a book signing.
Local celebrity Hazel Clark is a former Olympian and middle-distance runner who specialized in the 800 meters middle distance race. Hazel was a member of the U.S. Olympic team in 2000, 2004 and 2008. She has won six national titles and two USA Olympic Trials events during her career.
