Study Room 4A 90-minute writing workshop designed to find joy in the messy first stages of creative writing!
Prompt & Polish: A Guided Creative Writing Workshop is a 90-minute weekly class. Writers will respond to fun, rapid-fire prompts to quiet their inner critics. The group will share fresh drafts, offer kind feedback, and build a steady creative habit in a warm, supportive space. The workshop is designed to help participants finish new drafts, break through mental blocks, and find joy in the messy first stages of creative writing.
In order to ensure everyone is able to share their work, each workshop will have a maximum of 8 participants. Registration is required for each session you would like to attend.
Carla Cantor, a writer and editor who specializes in psychology and medicine and the author of Phantom Illness: Shattering the Myth of Hypochondria, will lead the workshop. She and her husband have called Maplewood home for nearly 30 years and raised their two children here.
