Brown Bag Book Swap: LGBTQ+

Part of the Teen Summer Reading Program

"Unearth a Story" is the national summer reading theme for 2026. To that end, Maplewood Library's teen summer reading activities will focus on mysteries and secrets.

At this book swap, give the gift of a beloved fiction or nonfiction book by or about LGBTQ+ people. Participants should bring exactly one book to swap. When registering for the event or on the day of, share 2-3 sentences about why this book is excellent and/or the kind of person who might like this book. Ms. Ayoola will put participants' books in paper bags, along with some bonus books, and we'll let the swapping begin!
